Grossular Garnet Hessonite Cluster Crystal Specimen
Country of Origin: Coyote Front Range, California, USA
10-point scale of mineral hardness: 6.5 - 7.5 (10 - Hard, 1 soft)
Quantity: 1 single crystal cluster. You will receive the exact gemstone shown in the photos.
Size: approx 3.3cm in height x 7cm in width x 5.5cm in depth
Weight: 151 grams
Care has been taken to ensure that weights and measurements are as accurate as possible, however please do note that these are only approximate.
These crystals are in their natural form so are not flawless. Any textures, marks and indents are all natural and not damage. These are very fragile stones so please take care when handling them. Small particles may shed during transit.
Grossular is member of the Garnet group, and is its most varicoloured form, occurring in almost all colours except for blue. Grossular is often dark in colour, but it also forms the lightest coloured forms of Garnet, and can even be white or colourless. Each small growing crystal forms in small cube like shapes or faceted like sections and grows within a matrix.
